31 however, Israel, (A)pursuing a law of righteousness, did not (B)arrive at that law. 32 Why? Because they did not pursue it [a]by faith, but as though they could [b]by works. They stumbled over (C)the stumbling stone, 33 just as it is written:

(D)Behold, I am laying in Zion (E)a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense,
(F)And the one who believes in Him (G)will not be [c]put to shame.”
